About this project
This Poole homeowner came to us wanting a shower room that felt genuinely premium — not just a functional update, but a space they'd enjoy every day. The existing bathroom was outdated, with a plastic shower tray, mismatched tiles, and very little storage. The brief was simple: make it feel like a luxury hotel, within a sensible budget.
We stripped everything back and rebuilt the room from scratch. The marble-effect tiles — laid floor to ceiling in a stacked horizontal pattern — immediately elevate the feel of the space. We used a matching floor tile with a very slight gradient to the drain, giving the room a wet-room aesthetic without the complexity and cost of a full wet-room conversion.
The dark matt vanity unit was a deliberate design choice — it anchors the room against the lighter marble tones, and the countertop basin adds a contemporary, almost architectural quality. The glass shower enclosure keeps things clean and light, and the thermostatic shower system makes the daily routine genuinely enjoyable.
